The product of boredom
Monday, January 28, 2008

It was in the middle of history lecture when I realised that a weird looking insect was heading my way. I couldn't exactly scream and run so I remained composed and did the next logical thing - to secretly video the insect. I've shown the video to a million people and some say that it looks like a flat worm while others thought it's a caterpillar. My conclusion: it's a flat caterpillar. During my free period, we went to Hotshot Cafe at the library. Time flies when you spend it with lame people so we didn't have to try too hard to entertain ourselves.

Here's some random pictures that I took:

At Hotshot Cafe

Xiaotang wanted us to try her cake so she told us to cut that tiny bit into 3 haha.

Eventually she gave each of us a bite

The library

I was super bored when I took this. Free periods make you do ridiculous stuff

See how ulu the school is. It's surrounded by a dense forest

I was bored - very, very bored

27 Dresses
Sunday, January 27, 2008

Watched 27 Dresses yesterday. It was funny so it was worth the ticket price. Typical romantic comedy that ended with a happily ever after aww... Bought the strongest coffee ever - just 1 sip and I'm wide awake. It's super bitter though - disgusting.

Worst Day Ever
Monday, January 21, 2008

Everything went wrong today. First I put the wrong moisturiser on my face so I felt a little weird the entire day - it's probably a psychological thing. Then when I was rushing to get to school, I realised that the lift broke down so there's only one functional lift left to cater to the entire flat. So I took the stairs instead. When I was about to cross the road, I missed 2 buses and there's something wrong with the MRT in the east - although I wasn't directly affected, I still felt it's impact so I was late for my 0930 class. Then when I went to the library to print my notes, I couldn't access the BlackBoard and I left my file in the library. Half an hour before my tutorial, I realised that I had to do some online discussion and print some reading materials but the queue to book a computer at the library was super long and I had problems with my online discussion. Obviously I was late for that tutorial and to make it worse, I went to the wrong block so I was even later. It turned out that my tutor didn't check the discussion thingy and we don't have to print the reading materials.
It might sound like I'm exaggerating but I swear I'm not. This is truly the worst day of my life.

Heritage Trail
Friday, January 18, 2008

Yesterday I went for my Little India Heritage Trail. It was so fun! Had to walk from Little India MRT station to way beyond Farrer Park MRT and back to Little India MRT station again - and I took a lot of random pics in between.

1st stop: food!

Peacocks' butt

Endangered phonebooths

My standard is dropping. In JC I took pictures in Fullertin hotel's toilet but now I've downgraded to MRT toilet *sobs

Haha halfway through our trail, I (read: Miss Weak Bladder) needed desperately to pee :)

My first thought: Prince William!

Finally! A shop built with me in mind :)

Of course I took some serious pic but that will be for the official blog - which will be graded (the horror, the horror, the horror!) I thought that Singapore History was fun - there's the museum trip, heritage trail... But OH pointed out that the trips are fun, not the history.

I need to mention this: I got tanned from a trip to Little India. We conclude that it never rains there. Great! Now I have uneven tan. I had to leave early for my English tutorial so I didn't get to go shopping. Those lucky girls get to do the henna thing. I'm so jealous! Which genius decided to slot an English tutorial on a Friday evening?

Lame commercial

This video is quite lame but I think it's creative- and funny.

Trip to the museum

I went to the deceptively small National Museum yesterday for my Singapore History module. At first I thought that we'll be able to finish everything and still have time to go for the Greek history thing by the Louvre all in an hour. But after 2 hours, we only went to 31 of the 99 stations for Singapore history. It wasn't as boring as I expected and I'm amazed by how hi-tech the museum is. We had to carry around this device and key in the 'code' of the exhibit we're at and it'll narrate the history for you. I don't mind going to the museum again - in a few years.

Bullshit
Saturday, January 12, 2008

I have this 0830 lesson every Friday which is inconvenient for the entire class. When we suggested shifting the lesson to another day, my tutor's answer was:
Since the SARS incident, contact tracing is very important. If I shift the lesson, contract tracing will be difficult. Besides I'm in the time-table committee, so I have to set a good example to the others.
Thanks to Mr Time-Table Committee, now I have a 6 hour break every Friday.

IT-Idiot

It's proven beyond reasonable doubt that I'm an IT-idiot. I had to join this other blog account for school and I did it using my old blogger account. Then I realised that both blogs appeared on my profile and I started worrying that my tutor will read my blog and complaint to higher authorities about my conduct and I'll be expelled. I couldn't figure a way out to quit the school blog and sign up with a new account. So being the genius that I am, I deleted my blog. Now I had to create a new one and password-protect it. Why couldn't I just limit the access to my previous blog?! Well at least now I can write whatever I want without fear - this blog is for private viewing so anyone trying to sue me or anything is invading my privacy. To the people reading this, aren't you honoured you have access to my blog?
